ALL FUNDRAISING is put on hold due to COVID. Beachburg Public School students participate in many fundraisers that support our programs, trips, and resources for students. Classroom teachers also initiate fundraisers to support charities that help the less fortunate.
All meals are compliant with PPM 150. We have Hot Dog days, Sub Days, Pizza Days and Grilled Cheese.
BPS holds a couple of Popcorn Days throughout the year. Orders are all placed online at School Cash and popcorn is served at the2nd Nutrition Break at noon.
Our Harvest Supper is an amazing community gathering. The meal consists of Sliced Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Baked Beans, a Variety of Salads, Cheese, Pickles, Buns, and Dessert. This event is held before Thanksgiving and often aligns with our Meet the Teacher night. Families help make this event a success by supplying all the trimmings.
Our Spaghetti Supper is typically held in the Month of February. It is another event enjoyed by BPS families, Senior Citizens, and other Community Members. At this time, Laurie Patterson, our librarian, hosts the Scholastic Book Fair in the library. This helps stock our library with new titles!
On Movie Nights, BPS gym is transformed into a movie theatre! The lights are dimmed and the movie begins! Enjoy popcorn, drinks, and treats from the Snack Bar!
This year, we are participating in our Poinsettia Sales!
Our popular fundraiser was held in January this year. Mr. Schwan's class will be leading this fundraiser for their class. trip.
The Gift of Giving
Our students participate each September in the annual Terry Fox Run. In addition to the physical benefits, students raise money to support the Terry Fox Foundation for cancer research.
At BPS, we collect new and gently used snowsuits, footwear, and other outerwear items in support of the Renfrew County Child Poverty Action Network (CPAN). This collection takes place in the fall and early winter months. Articles of clothing may be dropped off at the office.
BPS combines physical activity with Heart and Stroke awareness in an effort to raise money for the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Our next Jump Rope for Heart event will be held this spring.
